Saying Goodbye to 2025: Faithful Then, Faithful Still

As we say goodbye to 2025, we pause to remember all that God has done. We take a moment to reflect on the ways He has been faithful, even when life did not unfold the way we imagined it would. This year asked more of us than we expected, and yet God met us in every moment with grace, strength, and purpose.

2025 changed us. It stretched us in ways we never saw coming. It shaped us through circumstances we did not choose, but through it all, God remained constant. He carried us through seasons of uncertainty, answered prayers in quiet ways, and gave us the strength to keep moving forward when we felt weary.

Scripture reminds us of this truth:

“The Lord is faithful in all His words and kind in all His works.” Psalm 145:13

This year, we overcame things we once thought would break us. We let go of people we believed would always be part of our story. We lost pieces of ourselves that we thought would remain forever, only to discover new parts of ourselves being formed in their place. The process was not easy, and it was not gentle, but it was real. God was present in every part of it.

As we stand on the edge of 2026, we can finally see what we could not see before. Everything that shaped us was preparing us for what comes next. Even the moments that felt painful or confusing were being used for a greater purpose.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” Romans 8:28

We are entering 2026 as different people. Our mindsets have shifted, our priorities have changed, and our circumstances may look nothing like they once did. God is a God who restores what was taken, renews what was worn down, and heals what feels impossible to fix.

“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” Joel 2:25

“He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:3

“See, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:5

As we move into 2026, may we welcome it with open hearts. May we forgive ourselves for the ways we fell short and release the weight of shame, regret, and comparison. God is already working ahead of us, and He is not finished with the story He is writing.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing.” Isaiah 43:18–19

Now is the time to step fully into who God created you to be. Know your worth. Set healthy boundaries. Choose to love, because love is what lasts beyond seasons, circumstances, and outcomes. It is the only true legacy you can leave.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

We are not promised tomorrow, which makes today sacred. Love today. Be present today. Stay open to the blessings God is placing in front of you right now. As we step into 2026, may God fix everything that is meant for us. May He restore what belongs to us, remove what no longer serves us, and lead us confidently into His purpose.

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” Philippians 1:6

Goodbye, 2025. Thank you for the lessons, the growth, and the grace. We are ready for what God is about to do next.

XO,

Whitney Mariel
